This is CONCERT WEEK!
All bands will perform at the annual Winter Concert on Tuesday, December 14 at 7:30pm in the LMS Gymnasium.Â Students need to be at LMS ready to go at 7pm for warm-up and tuning.Â Be sure to wear black and white!

Where:Â LMS Gymnasium
When:Â Concert starts at 7:30pm â€“ students at LMS no later than 7pm
Wear:Â Concert Clothing (Black and White)
6th grade Band:
Try working as far ahead in your book as you can get.Â Remember to always play with a good tone andÂ great rhythm!!!Â There is a real nice solo on page 34 in your book that you should start working on.
Pieces to practice: “First Concert March”, “Holiday Sampler”, “March of the Spartans”, “Eagle Summit March”, â€œIntensityâ€ & â€œAffirmationâ€.
You will play the first four listed above for the winter concert on Tuesday.Â Be sure to have black and white concert clothing.
7th and 8th grade Bands:
7th – Parade of the Tin Soldiers, FireburstÂ Fanfare, The Great American Frontier, Christmas Canon
8th –Â Cantique De Noel, Forest Brook Overture, The Impossible Machine & Caribbean Christmas
7th/8th Jazz Band I:Â The studentsÂ haveÂ four piecesÂ to be working on “I Can’t Stop Lovin’ You”, “Pico De Gallo”, “Do Nothin’ ’til You Hear From Me”, “Heat Miser”, â€œJingle Bellsâ€, â€œAngels Weâ€™ve Heardâ€ & “Drum Boogie”.Â Sound clipsÂ are availableÂ on our website for most of the pieces as well.
We will perform “Heat Miser” & â€œAngels Weâ€™ve Heardâ€ on the winter concert.

7th/8th Jazz Band II:Â The studentsÂ should be working on these pieces â€“ â€œSteam Shuffleâ€, â€œDiscover the Bluesâ€, â€œTricky Sticksâ€ & â€œOne Eyed Jackâ€.
