    Notes from Mr. C – LMS Bands – April 13 – April 17

    Hello everyone,

I hope this email finds everyone well. I have some information for all of the students/parents below for the week of 4.13..

    Important

Please let me know if you don’t have the ability to record yourself to your computer.  Also, please let me know if you need a chrome book if you don’t have computer access.

This week we’re going to try to get everyone signed up to three different online resources.

The first is make sure that you were signed up for Google classroom for band.

The second is be sure that you are signed up and logged into Smart music

The third is to make sure you are signed up and logged into Tonesavvy.

All of the instructions on how to do this are listed below.

If you haven’t already, please join my Google Classroom for your class!

    Codes are below:

    8th grade: rkn3mjn

    7th grade: bj4prlg

    6th grade: 4trsnqu

Smart Music, which is an excellent online music practicing platform, is offering FREE subscriptions to schools during this closure. I have set up each Band class and so just like with Google Classroom, students just need to sign in with the code for their class. There is a lot of music that kids can use to practice with, and it will play along with you, etc. I highly recommend signing in to this also. Instructions and Codes are below:

    1. Open a Chrome browser and visit: https://admin.smartmusic.com/join

    Tonesavvy
I’ve created a student account for you on ToneSavvy.com. To log in, please follow the steps below:
Go to the ToneSavvy login page: https://tonesavvy.com/login/
Log in with the following details:

Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive, so make sure you use the same capitalization as shown above. For example, Beethoven is not the same as beethoven.

Once you log in, you’ll be able to complete the assignment sets I give you online.

I’m going to be working on adding more content to the Google Classrooms, stay tuned.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I miss seeing the kids every day. I hope you all are staying well and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again soon, I hope.

    Best,

    Mr. Covill
